Meet the Herd
Little Nellie’s is a specialist SEND practice
supporting families across England with EHCP applications, draft reviews, mediation preparation and tribunal-stage documentation.
We are not a call centre.
We are not a template factory.
We are a structured, evidence-led team who build cases properly.

Why the Elephant?
Elephants protect their herd.
They communicate clearly.
They don’t panic under pressure.
That’s how we approach EHCP cases.
The SEND system can feel overwhelming - deadlines, refusals, vague wording, provision that isn’t quantified properly. Families are often left trying to argue emotionally in a system that responds to structure.
We do the opposite.
We work with clarity.
We work with statute.
We build cases that stand up.
No child left behind.
What We Actually Do
The SEND Tribunal does not decide cases based on emotion.
It decides them based on statutory duties, evidence, and clarity.
We support families by:
-
Analysing draft EHCPs for enforceability
-
Identifying provision gaps and unlawful or vague wording
-
Mapping evidence to statutory thresholds
-
Drafting SEND35 / SEND35A appeal documentation
-
Structuring Working Documents
-
Preparing families for mediation and tribunal
-
Providing tribunal-stage support or representation where agreed
This is case construction - not paperwork assistance.

How We Build a Case
Every EHCP case sits at a specific legal stage. An application, a refusal, a draft plan, mediation, or appeal, each carries a different statutory threshold. Before anything is written, we establish exactly where you are and what the law requires at that point.
We then examine the evidence with discipline. Does it clearly describe need? Does it meet the statutory test? Is there a direct link between the identified need and the provision being proposed? If provision is vague, unquantified or aspirational rather than enforceable, we identify it. If evidence is missing, we tell you plainly.
Our work is not about producing long documents. It is about producing clear ones. We ensure needs are translated into specific, quantified provision and that every submission is structured so a decision-maker can follow the reasoning without confusion.
By the time a case reaches mediation or tribunal, it should not feel chaotic. It should feel organised, evidence-led and grounded in statutory duty.
We do not rely on volume.
We rely on structure.

Across England
EHCP and social care battles are not just a London issue.
We support families across England, remotely and, whereappropriate, in person.
Your postcode should not determine whether your child receives properly structured provision.
No Empty Words. Just Action
We are proud to support Ecologi as part of our commitment to operating as a climate-conscious workforce.
Supporting families should not come at the expense of the planet those children will grow up in.
